Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard fired back at one NBA fan who claimed he would get injured for overtraining.
In a video posted by Overtime on Twitter, one NBA fan seems to not like Lillard’s workout video and threw shots on the high-scoring point guard.
“This why you always hurt [Damian Lillard] overtraining. That farmer carry on the treadmill ain’t gonna translate when bron and AD dunking on ya forehead.”
The fan seems to be a Laker fan as he even brought out LeBron James and Anthony Davis name on his criticism on Lillard.
Lillard immediately fired back at the fan by reminding that he is one of the ‘ironman’ players in the league. He asked his critique to name a player in the last 10 years who played the same minutes as him.
“Name a player who’s available more than me the last 10 years that plays as many minutes…”
Throughout his nine-year NBA career, Lillard averaged 36 minutes per game on 682 games he played and 40 minutes per game on 61 playoff games he played. Lillard just missed 36 games out of possible 716 regular season games he could’ve played which translates to 95%. That’s actually pretty impressive.
