The NBA players refusing to be vaccinated is one of the hottest topic right now. Players like Andrew Wiggins and Kyrie Irving remain firm on their stand over the vaccines.
Kyrie Irving missed the NBA media day for the Brooklyn Nets last night due to COVID-19 safety and protocols as the Nets’ superstar is still not getting his shots. Kyrie instead talked with the reporters through video chat.
During the chat, Kyrie was asked about his vaccination status but the 29-year-old point guard declined to answer the question.
“I appreciate the question, but I’d like to keep that stuff private.”
Kyrie was again asked a question related to his vaccination status. He asked the reporter to respect his privacy.
“Again, please respect my privacy. Everything will be released in due time when all of this is cleared up.”
Instead, Kyrie discussed his thoughts and feelings for the upcoming season for his team.
“I’m excited…The last thing I wanted to create was this hoopla and distractions. I’m continuously growing and learning from others…It won’t be easy, but I feel like we have a recipe for success.”
Kyrie had a superb performance last season averaging 26.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, 6 assists, 1.4 steals on a very smooth 50/40/90 shooting splits. It was just unfortunate for him and the Nets as he went down with an ankle injury during their series against the reigning NBA champions Milwaukee Bucks.
