TNT broadcaster and NBA analyst Mark Jackson shared a story about him playing against Michael Jordan. The story happened during a game between the New York Knicks and the Chicago Bulls.
The former NBA coach said that there’s one play where he stole the ball from MJ and got fouled. He still proceeded to make a run to the backcourt and then did something Jordan loved to do when he was still playing.
Jackson sticked his tongue out after the call was made and it made Jordan fired up as the Chicago Bulls’ legend took over the game.
“Just young and dumb. I had a moment”
“I thought we had every answer because we were rolling… It was a mistake. Like MJ said in the documentary, he takes all of that and uses it as fuel. He did that and took over the game.”
The 1988 rookie of the year said that it was one of the biggest mistake he made in his 17-year NBA career.
