Michael Jordan is arguably one of the most successful athletes of all-time and considered by many as the best player in NBA history.
Jordan spent fifteen seasons in the NBA, winning six NBA championships, six Finals MVP and five season MVP. Jordan is one of the most decorated athlete of all time with all of his accomplishments and awards during his NBA career.
Jordan wouldn’t be as good as he was back then if not of his brother. The Chicago Bulls’ legend said back then that he would be known as Larry’s brother only if his brother Larry has at least a 6’2 height.
“If he was 6’2, I would have been known as Larry’s brother.”
Larry Jordan is 11 months older than Michael and has a height of 5’8 only. MJ credited his brother Larry for much of his success. He said that if it wasn’t of his brother, he wouldn’t put so much work to be a great player that he was back then. He wanted to beat his brother Larry so much that he put so much work on his game.
“Man, my older brother Larry used to kill me. He was older and bigger than me. He would beat me, talk to me and not let me forget about it. What that did for me was make me work that much harder to beat him. He had no idea that I was going to end up taller than him. I look at my games with him as a great experience when I was young, because I developed my love for the game and it made me work harder to get better.”
Imagine watching Michael and Larry going up against each other or even playing on the same team. What could’ve been?
