Skip Bayless is the epitome of the LeBron James haters. He always find something that can throw against James and doesn’t give any credit to the four-time NBA champion.
On his recent Twitter post, Bayless once again trolled James and Russell Westbrook.
“Can’t wait to see LeBrick and Westbrick launching threes from the Lakers’ backcourt.”
Bayless was calling out James and Westbrook for their bad three-point percentages. The two weren’t known as good three point shooter.
But James actually improved his three-point percentages from year one to year three being a member of the Los Angeles Lakers. He shot 36.5% from the three-point territory last season which better than most NBA superstars like Brooklyn Nets’ James Harden (36.2%), Luka Doncic of Dallas Mavericks (35%), Washington Wizards’ Bradley Beal (34.9%), Trae Young of Atlanta Hawks (34.3%) and Phoenix Suns’ Devin Booker (34%).
Westbrook meanwhile, was 150th from three-point percentages last season, averaging a poor 31.5%. Westbrook hasn’t been a very good shooter from behind the arc having a career-average of 30.5% only.
He doesn’t even have good overall field goal percentages averaging 43.7% on his thirteen-year NBA career so far. Westbrook has been criticized for his ball hogging and questionable shot selections. Westbrook needs to be more of a facilitator for his new team and lessen his field goal attempts.
The Lakers need to find a way how each player will fit on team. On paper, the team really look good. They just got to make it work on the court.
