Earlier this week, Boston Celtics’ center posted photos of sneakers calling out Los Angeles Lakers’ superstar LeBron James.
“Money over Morals for the “King”
Sad & disgusting how these athletes pretend they care about social justice They really do “shut up & dribble” when Big Boss says so.
Did you educate yourself about the slave labor that made your shoes or is that not part of your research?
Kanter wore the shoes in their game against the Lakers last night.
James was interviewed after the game about Kanter’s disrespectful sneakers about him:
“He’s definitely not someone I’m gonna give my energy to…He’s always kind of had a word or two to say in my direction.”
“I don’t give too many people my energy,” James said
“He’s definitely not someone I would give my energy to. He’s trying to use my name to create an opportunity for himself. I definitely won’t comment too much on that.”
James also said he and Kanter crossed paths in the hallway but Kanter didn’t even talk to him as a man.
“He’s always had a word or two to say in my direction, and as a man, if you’ve got an issue with somebody, you really come up to him. He had his opportunity tonight. I saw him in the hallway, and he walked right by me.”
James and Kanter have long had an on-court and social media beef. It started back on Kanter’s days as a member of the Oklahoma City Thunder and escalated during his time with the New York Knicks.
