NBA and Chicago Bulls’ legend Scottie Pippen released his book ‘Unguardable’ earlier this week.
Pippen wrote something that will raise the eyebrows of many Bulls’ fans and die-hard Michael Jordan fans.
In his new book, the six-time NBA champion wrote that his former teammate ruined the basketball.
“I may go as far to say Mike ruined basketball,” Pippen wrote.
Pippen explained that Jordan ruined the basketball because he didn’t want to to anything inside the basketball court except for scoring.
“In the 80s on the playgrounds you’d have everyone moving the ball around — passing to help the team. That stopped in the 90s. Kids wanted to be ‘Like Mike.’ Well, Mike didn’t want to pass — didn’t want to rebound, or defend the best player. He wanted everything done for him.”
Pippen also added that LeBron James is the opposite of how he describe Jordan and that’s why for him, James is the greatest NBA player of all time.
“That’s why I always believed LeBron James was the greatest player this game has ever seen — he does everything and embodies what the game is truly about.”
Pippen and Jordan seem to have a broken relationship since the release of the hit documentary ‘The Last Dance’ which Pippen mainly criticized because it focuses about Michael Jordan only.
