The Los Angeles Lakers got their first back-to-back win of the season after beating the Houston Rockets in the eve of the Halloween.
Carmelo Anthony led the Lakers with twenty-three points on 57% field goal shooting. He also added three rebounds, two assists, four blocks and five triples.
Melo has been amazing for the Lakers this season. He is averaging 50% from the field and 52% from beyond the arc. He is make 3.4 threes per 6.6 tries in the first seven games of the season for the Lakers.
Meanwhile, LeBron James was struggling shooting the ball since he returned to Lakers lineup. James was shooting one for sixteen from behind the arc for the past two games.
Skip Bayless took the opportunity to criticize James for the nth time.
Where would these Lakers be if they didn’t have Carmelo Anthony (11-16 threes last 2 games) canceling out LeBrick James (1-16 from three last 2 games)???
James started the season with a hot shooting on his first three games of the season. He made fourteen out of his twenty-nine three point attempts but the Lakers were 1-2 on those games.
The Lakers still won their last two games even James were having a bad shooting percentages. What more if he can shoot well from behind the arc. More importantly, the Lakers look like they’re slowly jelling and getting their chemistry.
James is averaging 23.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, 6.4 assists, 2.4 steals and a block on five games he played this 2021-22 NBA season.
