Memphis Grizzlies are sending recently acquired Patrick Beverley to Minnesota Timberwolves for Jarrett Culver and Juancho Hernangomez, according to ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski.
Beverley was recently acquired by the Grizzlies along with Rajon Rondo and Daniel Otoru in a trade with the LA Clippers. The deal sent Eric Bledsoe to Clippers which was acquired by Grizzlies from the New Orleans Pelicans before the 2021 NBA Draft.
Beverley averaged 7.1 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 37 regular games with the Clippers. He became the odd man out after the resurgence of Reggie Jackson. Jackson established himself as the third leading scorer of the Clippers in the recent NBA playoffs.
Beverley is expected to help the young Timberwolves with his toughness and leadership. After the departure of Ricky Rubio, the Wolves were looking for some veterans to add on its team.
Culver was the 6th pick of 2019 NBA Draft. He averaged 5.3 points and 3.1 rebounds in almost 15 minutes per game last season with the Timberwolves. Hernangomez, on the other hand, averaged 7.2 points and 3.9 rebounds on 52 games last season.
