Patrick Beverley recently had an Instagram live to chat with fans and answer some questions. During his IG live, Beverley was asked on who’s the toughest NBA player to guard?
Beverley answered the question by saying Luka and quickly added that he’s prepared to guard the promising young player.
So far, it’s been Luka. Easy… But I’m prepared for his a** too. I’m on his a** this year too.
Beverley was guarding Doncic for the past two NBA playoffs during the Clippers-Mavericks matchup in 2020 and 2021 postseason.
Doncic was unstoppable though, as he averaged 33.5 points, 8.8 rebounds, 9.5 assists and 1.2 steals in 13 postseason games he played against Beverley and the Clippers.
The 6’7 playmaker even taunt Beverley in one play during the game one of their West first round matchup.
“You’re f*ck*ng to small!” Doncic shouted on Beverley’s face after making an and-one basket.
Beverley will surely continue to defending Doncic in the upcoming season, this time, with his new team, the Minnesota Timberwolves.
