Austin Rivers Thought He Was Getting Traded To The Lakers After He Read Austin Reaves Was Getting A Contract

The Los Angeles Lakers recently signed Oklahoma Sooners’ guard Austin Reaves. Reaves went undrafted in the recent NBA draft. Reaves averaged 18.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.6 assists on his final year in Oklahoma.

The second-year of the deal will be a team option according to Shams Charania of ‘The Athletic and Stadium’.

Meanwhile, Denver Nuggets guard Austin Rivers had a funny reaction on Lakers recent signing.

“I had to read this sh*t twice. I thought I was gonna have to pack again. SMH.”

Rivers thought he was traded by the Nuggets to the Lakers and immediately think about packing his stuffs again. For an NBA player, it’s really hassle to switch teams as they need to find a new house they can stay with.

Rivers re-signed a one-year deal last August to stay with the Denver Nuggets. He averaged 8.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.2 steals with the Nuggets last season.
